Thorsten J. Kumpf

Born in Germany and family fitted with architectural ADN, Thorsten started his career at the early age of five building temporary structures made of any kind of furniture and blankets in the living-room of his parents. During his studies at the university, Thorsten already worked for the renowned office Architektenbüro Martin Müller, being personally involved in the design and realization of a dozen of projects for the Commerzbank AG, the airports Flughafen AG Frankfurt/Main, Flughafen AG Erfurt and the National Printing Press Bundesdruckerei Neu-Isenburg. He also contributed to the renewal of the famous Four Seasons Hotel in Berlin. After receiving his Master of Science Degree at the Darmstadt University of Technology, Thorsten founded the studio Space&Architecture, realizing all types of projects across Spain for the global cosmetic & beauty company Wella/Procter&Gamble. Accepting their offer to become Company Chief Architect and Manager of the luxury furniture brand Welonda, Thorsten moved definitely to Spain, building up successful business-structures, brand-value and design-image. He was in charge of all corporate projects, fairs, exhibitions and shows and designed more than 1.000 hairdresser salons. Being strongly influenced by the beauty- and fashion-industry, working together with the most creative stylists, Thorsten decided to carry out his idea to build-up a design company that fusions all aspects of lifestyle.
