Jay Yao

A Passion for Pictures Jay Yao is an award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in a large number of outlets and publications. They place an equal focus on the overall experience their clients have and on creating the perfect photo. Jay uses photography as a form of art to express his creativity and social cause. ​ With his background in the art & film industry, he loves to create different moods and feel to bring out the beauty in the subjects he shoots. As a commercial photographer and a film producer, he travels extensively and enjoys collaborating with creative minds. His work for the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) was published in a series of books ‘Location Singapore’. In his personal work, he uses photography to bring awareness to social injustices for a better cause. He has recently showcased some of his work in a social movement in Singapore” The Best of You″ where he exhibited his work for this non-profit movement. He is the winner of Haper’s Bazaar Art Prize for his “Reflection” Series. Jay is also widely known in the social media space with his YouTube channel garnering more than 14,000 subscribers and more than a million hits for his top videos. He is currently based in Singapore and Dubai. ​
