SthaNiK (স্থাপত্য নির্মাণ কর্ম) was formed in 2008 as a research oriented studio to incorporate old-school design procedures and construction techniques with contemporary design processes. Venturing towards a connectivity of the regional practice of design and construction with the global perspective, the studio aims at redefining the constraints from the context with continuous feed-back from the surrounding information wave. The design ideology is always leaning towards a marriage of narrative compulsive ‘artistic infatuation’ with the analytic derivation of geometry and material formation.
