ATC studio is an architecture and design led studio with expertise in the use of engineered, plantation and native timber. The studio works across all construction types and scales in the public and private sector. Based in Perth, Western Australia, ATC concentrates upon the design and delivery of cost effective projects to rural, remote and inner city sites. ATC Studio aims to exploit the material and structural properties of both engineered and plantation timbers to position the resource as a sustainable and reliable solution for the future of the design and building industries.

The studio is rooted in the discipline of architecture but undertakes projects that utilize multiple disciplines of design, as well as research, curation, strategy, and community building. The studio’s philosophy is shaped by an interest the evolution of culture and place which leads to research that mines various contexts for unexpected stories, details, or overlooked materials and techniques.

In 2017, PATRICK BATEK – professional architect since 1999 – and his team moved to their new studio in Berlin. The office for architecture, interior design and furniture design has a widespread client base, including star chef Tim Raue, fashion retailer Zalando, Red Bull or the digital agency Razorfish as well as numerous private clients.
