Founded in 1986, ARCHITEM Wolff Shapiro Kuskowski architects was one of Canada’ first architectural firms to be led by women. It evolved from a close collaboration between Architects Andrea Wolff, Elizabeth Shapiro, and Magda Kuskowski. The team was later joined by Mira Katnick who became the firm’s fourth partner in 2006. Today, the firm is known for its institutional, commercial, and residential projects as well as its interior design work.

Established in Curitiba by Gustavo Utrabo and Pedro Duschenes, the architectural firm Aleph Zero operates in areas ranging from furniture design, exhibitions, residential and commercial architecture to urban scale projects, for both public sector clients and the private sector. We seek for each project a unique atmosphere, formed through a collaborative process with artists, philosophers and specialized consultants. Since its foundation, Aleph Zero had its work recognized in national and international publications and awards.

Before forming ARK, the leadership of ARK spent the last 20 years as design leaders at large architectural offices in New York City. Their global expertise is wide ranging including large scale master planning, educational, mixed use, and retail buildings. They have designed buildings at all scales from a two story school to a 88 story tower. This breadth of experience informs their approach to architecture, collaborating with clients and consultants, and satisfying the requirements of the diverse building typologies they design.

ATELIER CENTRAL (AC) was founded in 1996 by José Martinez Silva, the company’s CEO and main leader Architect, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon (FAUTL) in 1989. The office works internationally, designing and developing projects in numerous areas, such as housing, hotels and resorts, industrial, public buildings, corporate design, schools, healthcare, sports and leisure, offices and retail, building consulting and urban planning. With a team of 8 wide ranged skilled architects and designers, AC also works with a professional specialized team in engineering, finances and management, international relations, marketing, communication and administrative support.
