Arquitecto egresado por la Universidad Nacional Aut¨®noma de M¨¦xico con menci¨®n honor¨ªfica (1996) y con una maestr¨ªa en Ciencias y Desarrollo de Proyectos Inmobiliarios por la Universidad de Columbia, Nueva York (1998) en 1996 fund¨® el Taller de Arquitectura de JSa. desde 2009 es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes. En 2008, es electo Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects y en el 2006 recibe el Le¨®n de Oro en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia en la categor¨ªa proyecto urbano, para el proyecto de vivienda social Brasil 44. En el 2010, abre una oficina en Per¨² para dar seguimiento a sus clientes y proyectos
