HANNAH is an experimental design and research studio working across scales from furniture to urbanism. From the ground up, digital design and fabrication technologies are intrinsic to the making of our work, facilitating fundamentally new material methods, tectonic articulations, environmental practices, technological affordances, and forms of construction. In our projects, we aim to mine the tension between machine means and architectural ends. We reclaim authorship over processes of construction that influence the way we can build – or perhaps ought to build in the future.

Architecture is not just a service, but a true passion. For Hufft, architecture shapes our daily lives – both personally and professionally. We dive in to every project head first. Our aim is for every design solution to create spaces that are not only personalized and functional, but also exceptional. This type of thinking makes what we do a way of life, for us, and for our clients. The process must absorb us, and it does.

Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) is a leading architecture rm based in New York City. Since winning the prestigious MoMA Young Architects Award in 2012 with the design Wendy, the rm has gone on to design buildings around the world and at all scales. HWKN merges the practical aspects of architecture with the irrational qualities of sculpture to deliver highly functional buildings that invite visceral aesthetic and emotional responses. The rm is lead by Matthias Hollwich and Marc Kushner, two thought leaders who have lectured widely, spoken at TED, and taught at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. Their new book, Architecture Can!, was released by Images Publishing in October 2018.
