LOT-EK is an award-winning architectural design studio based in New York and Naples, Italy. Founded in 1993 by Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, LOT-EK has been involved with commercial, institutional and residential projects globally. In addition, LOT-EK has conceived and executed exhibition design and site-specific installations for major cultural institutions and museums, including MoMA, the Whitney Museum, the Walker Art Center and the Guggenheim. LOT-EK has achieved high visibility for its sustainable and innovative approach to construction, materials and space, through the adaptive reuse (“upcycling”) of existing industrial objects and systems not originally intended for architecture.

Line and Space, LLC was founded in 1978 in Tucson, Arizona to facilitate the design and building of environmentally sensitive architecture that respects and responds to existing site conditions. Our work is known internationally and has been recognized by our peers through the receipt of over 120 architectural and environmental design awards, including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on the Environment (2-time recipient), the AIA Western Mountain Region Firm of the Year, and the AIA Arizona Sustainable Firm of the Year.

The acclaimed American ar.st Leo Villareal (b. 1967 Albuquerque, New Mexico), a pioneer of LED light sculpture, creates intricate light installa.ons for both gallery and public seIngs. He came to interna.onal prominence through his project, The Bay Lights, which illuminated the San Francisco- Oakland Bay Bridge in 2013. Ini.ally conceived as a two-year display, the popularity of The Bay Lights led it to be transformed into a permanent installa.on, now an iconic visual element of the San Francisco’s landscape. He focuses on iden.fying the governing structures of systems, and is interested in base units such as pixels and binary code. His installa.ons use custom, ar.st-created code, which constantly changes the frequency, intensity, and paXerning of lights through sequencing.
