Hikohito Konishi was born in 1964 in Hiroo cho, Hokkaido, Japan. After graduating from the Art and Technology Department at Hokkaido Tokai University in 1986, he was involved over ten years in the design of architectures in many aspects, both on a small and large scale, at Kazuhiro Ishii Architect and Associates and Edward Suzuki Associates in Tokyo. In 1996, he opened his own studio in Sapporo-Hikohito Konishi Architect and Associates Co., ltd. He has been an adjunct professor at Muroran Institute of Technology, Hokkaido University of Science, and Hokkaido Tokai University, and now teaches at Hokkai-Gakuen University. Marking 20 years since the foundation, the studio changed its name to HIKOKONISHI ARCHITECTURE INC. in 2016.
