Batay-Csorba Architects was established in2010 by Andrew Batay-Csorba and Jodi Batay-Csorba as a collaborative architectureand interior design studio. The practicewas created in Los Angeles, California and moved to Toronto, bringing with itan unmarked outlook to the progression of design in Canada. Jodi and Andrewhave designed,directed and managed over 96 internationally celebrated projects in 38 citiesand 11 countries, both on their own and at Pritzker Prize-winning officesbefore founding Batay-Csorba Architects. Their own workhas been distinguished with international awards, widely published in over 80international publications and exhibited across 24 internationalgalleries.

For us, to “think differently” is to create unique spaces. It is to provide meaningful and evocative spaces inspired by the spirit and history of the site. It is to propose accessible, simple and functional spaces which go beyond the ordinary and break out of imposed limits. To go beyond the limits is in itself a desire to do something different. It is a way of offering a new vision of the site, to establish a culture of contrasts, to be so bold as to propose dualities.

Alexandre Blazys and Benoit Gérard combined their talent and expertise in 2003 to found blazysgérard, a Montreal design and architecture studio.
