Markus Studtmann is a fine art photographer and psychologist living and working in Berlin, Germany. He studied philosophy, psychology and neurobiology at Bielefeld university and holds a Ph.D. in psychology. He worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Greifswald and the Max Plax Planck Institute of Human Development in Berlin, where he was also a member of the art committee. His research is focussed on the perception and facial expression of emotions and has been published in scientific books and journals.
