Zware Jongens was founded in 2014 by two concept veterans and today has a core team of ten interdisciplinary professionals. The firm offers expertise in conceptualising groundbreaking projects that don’t deserve obvious solutions. Uniqueness and making a difference is how the studio makes its clients outpace the mainstream. Zware Jongens lifts them and all other project partners involved beyond the immeasurable sea of mediocrity. The team’s experience covers everything from strategy and all-round concept development to branding and design.

Jago van Bergen and Evert Kolpa are orientated towards designing and realizing buildings, developing scenarios and doing research. The projects run a gamut of scales: from buildings to interior design, from landscape to process and ecology design. All projects can be identified by strong concepts, based on wide research translated into clear spatial designs.
