Tuomas Markunpoika was born in Jyvaskyla, Finland. He went to study furniture design in Lahti Institute of Design in 2006 where he graduated in 2010 and moved to Amsterdam for an internship at Marcel Wanders. He continued his studies at Design Academy Eindhoven, MA Contextual Design under the mentorship of Gijs Bakker and Louise Schouwenberg where he graduated with Cum Laude in 2012.

I'm thrilled by its constant transformation, following seemingly pointless paths that ultimately reflect or sometimes are even ahead of the Zeitgeist!! I'm inspired by the way it gives tangible shape to ideas and theories, the way it ignites epochal changes because everything that is aesthetic is also deeply if tangentially political! You know.

Hi, i’m Dave. 29 year guy from the 荷兰. I kinda like working on global problems, try to fix them by shooting some ideas at it. From reducing e-waste with a modular phone to making informative videos or developing machines to boost plastic recycling. I graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven and these days I work in an old post office in Helmond, 荷兰. Well..at the moment it’s more of a messy workspace. I love to make things, research, work open source, travel and use the power of the internet. The latter is crucial for my work. My projects get bigger than what I can handle on my own. –I guess thats what happens when you work on global stuff.
