Ik bouw met beelden, maak visuele biografie?n, in de vorm van fotomontages en stop-motion films. Mijn werk is in de basis documentair, maar lijkt door beeldcombinaties strijdig met de werkelijkheid. Daarin zit voor mij een interessante paradox. Ik streef als een cartograaf naar objectieve totaalbeelden. Dit bereik ik door keuzes te maken, die per definitie juist subjectief zijn. Dat vind ik interessant aan het verbeelden van onze leefomgeving; het is alledaags, dichtbij en blijkt toch altijd vol verrassingen.
