Composed of a collective of dynamic architects, KANVA is a young architectural firm whose work is at the forefront of thinking, imagining, drawing and constructing in Montreal and beyond. Their big ideas, gestures and approach to contemporary issues have gained local, national and international attention. KANVA is the recipient of the prestigious Award of Excellence for Innovation in Architecture by the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada for their mixed-use residential project Irene. Recently they won the international competition hosted by Space for Life to re-design the Biôdome for Montreal’s 375th anniversary.

KVA bought and renovated the Blue Bird Bottling Plant on the south edge of the South End to create an integrative design facility consistent with our interdisciplinary practice. Our new headquarters expands KVA's professional capabilities with a fully networked set of design and prototyping spaces, as well as workshops for MATx, our in-house materials research division.

Kimmel Eshkolot Architects is an Israeli architecture practice, founded in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1986, by Etan Kimmel and Michal Kimmel Eshkolot. In their first years of practice, they were involved in the preservation and rehabilitation of Neve Tzedek, the historical neighborhood of Tel Aviv. In 1993 they were awarded the Rokach prize for architecture for their projects in Neve Zedek. In the same year Ilan Carmi joined the practice, and became associate in 1997.
