Ken Smith (born 1953) is an internationally acclaimed American landscape architect.. Biography. Smith was born in Waukee, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 1976.After graduation, he apprenticed with sculptor Paul Shao, and worked for the Iowa Conservation Commission in Parks and Recreation Planning.

Based in Copenhagen, Ken Hermann possesses a natural urge to explore photography and world alike. He has traveled extensively, from secluded regions of India and Ethiopia to modern metropolises like New York. From every location, no matter how small or large, Hermann draws energy and inspiration; exploration of people, culture, and life is a central facet to his work, which is full of texture, volume, and atmosphere. From these experiences, he applies a cosmpolitan aesthetic to his commercial and editorial work. He is the winner of Hasselblad Masters 2012 for his City Surfer work.

The mud eating monks of Khuan+Ktron live, work and play in Khuan monastery. Hidden deep in the Haspengouwer hills, where goretex-clad tourists and other strange creatures freely roam the countryside and where words are less important — and a whole lot less reliable — than the phases of the moon, the reclusive brothers and sisters use a homebuilt computer, a jar of stupifyingly black ink, a handful of brushes and needles, a crooked guitar and an old tube amplifier in an amusing but ultimately vain attempt to distill meaning from the one hundred thousand earthly phenomena.
