Miquel del R¨ªo and Hans Focketyn met in 2005 working in leading architecture firms in Basel and developed a relation based in the cultural scene of the Swiss city. They started collaborating punctually as independent offices from 2012 and found matching paths in a certain way of seeing architecture, leading naturally to the opening of FOCKETYN DEL RIO Studio in 2013

In Zürich aufgewachsen und zur gleichen Zeit an der ETH Zürich studiert, sind wir uns im Arbeitsleben schnell wieder begegnet. Es folgten gemeinsame Jahre in Anstellung mit herausfordernden Projekten, welche unseren architektonischen Horizont erweitern und uns alle drei viel Ausführungserfahrung – vor allem im Wohnungsbau – sammeln liessen. Ausschlaggebend für die Gründung von Clou Architekten war der Wettbewerbsgewinn des Projektes «Wohnsiedlung Leutschenbach» – einer städtischen Siedlung mit 400 Wohn- und Gewerbeeinheiten und zwei Doppelkindergärten.
