Born in 1966, Hiroshima. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 1995. Currently residing in Kanazawa. With memories with his late wife as well as his late sister, both of whom left this world at a young age as the main theme for his work, he has been working on installation using salt symbolizing cleansing/purification in Japan. On last day of exhibition, he destroys installation with audience and returns salt to sea. Past exhibitions include MoMA PS1, State Hermitage Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.

He previously worked at Suppose Design Office in Hiroshima and Spatial Practice in Hong Kong to participate on prestigious international projects in Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France and China. He was invited for review of diploma designing as a guest critique at the Department of Architecture in Hong Kong University, and lectures for educational activities of public school in Japan.
