Miguel Marcelino (Portugal, 1981), architect (UAL, 2005), lives and works in Lisbon. Studied music from 1993 to 1998 at the Gregorian Institute of Lisbon. Worked with Herzog & de Meuron (Switzerland, 2003/04) and Bonell & Gil (Spain, 2005/07), before establishing his own office in 2008, winning right on that year his first open competition. His built work covers the most varied scales and programs, from small private dwellings to large public buildings.

Our focus is on cost-transparent, customer-oriented architecture. For our clients, we develop sus-tainable buildings with the highest quality standards. Our claim to architecture is not only a rational and economic implementation developed from the con-struction method and the material, but it is also the generation of a richness and diversity as we know them from grown structures such as medieval city centers or traditional farms . The human scale terms of urban planning as well as the atmosphere and habtics inside are key issues of our planning.
